Chapter 4 of this Standard is mandatory, the rest are recommendatory.
Harmful elements such as Pb, Hg, Cd and As in heavy metal concentrate products
seriously affect the environment and personal safety, this Standard is developed to
limit them.
This Standard was proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
This Standard shall be administered by the National Nonferrous Metal
Standardization Technical Committee.
This Standard was drafted by organizations. China Nonferrous Metal Industry
Research Institute of Metrology and Quality, Tongling Nonferrous Metal (Group) Ltd.,

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the limit and test method of harmful elements contained in
heavy metal concentrate products.
This Standard applies to heavy metal concentrate products.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this Standard.
3.1 Heavy metal concentrates
It is a general term for heavy metal concentrates in non-ferrous metal. It generally
includes copper concentrate, lead concentrate, zinc concentrate, lead and zinc bulk
concentrate, tin concentrate, nickel concentrate, cobalt-sulphur concentrate and so
on.
3.2 Harmful element
The elements which have significant toxicity to the human body, and cause obvious
pollution to environment, such as Pb, Hg, Cd, As and the like.
3.3 Copper concentrate
The concentrate product of copper ore which is processed through flotation or other
methods, contains not less than 13% of copper, and is used for copper smelting.
3.4 Lead concentrate
The concentrate product of lead ore which is processed through flotation or other
methods, contains not less than 45% of lead, particle size is not greater than 150μm
(there is no size requirement for high-grade galena ore), and is used for lead smelting.
3.5 Zinc concentrate
The concentrate product of zinc ore which is processed through flotation or other
methods, contains not less than 45% of zinc, particle size is not greater than 150μm,
