GB 20052-2020: Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and the energy efficiency grades for power transformers

This Standard specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, the energy efficiency grades and the test methods for three phase power transformers. This Standard is applicable to oil-immersed distribution transformers with three-phase 10 kV voltage level, non-excitation tap-changing, and rated capacity of 30 kVA ~ 2500 kVA, dry-type distribution transformers with a rated capacity of 30 kVA ~ 2500 kVA, and three-phase oil-immersed power transformers with a rated frequency of 50 Hz, a voltage level of 35 kV ~ 500 kV, and a rated capacity of 3150 kVA and above. This Standard does not apply to gas-filled transformers and high-impedance transformers.

Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB 24790-2009 "Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and the energy efficiency grades for power transformers" and GB 20052- 2013 "Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for three-phase distribution transformers". Compared with GB 24790-2009, GB 20052- 2013, in addition to the editorial modifications, the main technical changes in this Standard are as follows:
- Modify the scope of application of the standard (see Chapter 1 of this Edition; Chapter 1 of GB 24790-2009; Chapter 1 of GB 20052-2013);
- Delete the energy-saving evaluation value of distribution transformers (see 3.2 and 4.4 of GB 20052-2013);
- Delete the energy-saving evaluation value and target minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for power transformers (see 3.2, 3.3, 4.4, 4.5 of GB 24790-2009); - Improve the no-load loss or load loss index requirements for 10 kV distribution transformer products (see Table 1, Table 2 of this Edition; Table 1, Table 2 of GB 20052-2013);
- Increase the no-load loss or load loss index requirements for 35 kV, 66 kV, 110 kV, 220 kV power transformer products (see Table 3~Table 17 of this Edition; Table 1~Table 13 of GB 24790-2009);
- Add energy efficiency grades for 330 kV power transformer (see Table 18~Table 24 of this Edition);
- Add energy efficiency grades for 500 kV power transformer (see Table 25~Table 28 of this Edition);
- Add requirements for minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for 330 kV power transformer [see 5.2 f) of this Edition];
- Add requirements for minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for 500 kV power transformer [see 5.2 g) of this Edition];
- Add minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for amorphous alloy distribution transformers (see Table 1, Table 2 of this Edition).
This Standard was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, the energy efficiency grades and the test methods for three phase power transformers. 3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 1094.1, GB/T 1094.11 and GB/T 2900.95 as well as the followings apply.
3.1 minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for power transformer Under the specified test conditions, the allowable maximum limit for transformer no- load loss and load loss.
4 Energy efficiency grades
The energy efficiency grade of power transformers is divided into 3 grades. Grade 1 has the highest energy efficiency and the lowest loss.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
The technical parameters and technical requirements of power transformers shall comply with GB/T 1094.1, GB/T 6451. Oil-immersed amorphous alloy core
transformers shall also comply with GB/T 25446. Three-dimensional wound core distribution transformers shall also comply with GB/T 25438. Other technical parameters and technical requirements for dry-type distribution transformers shall comply with GB/T 1094.11, GB/T 10228. Dry-type amorphous alloy core transformers shall also comply with GB/T 22072.
5.2 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for power transformers Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for power transformer are as follows: a) The minimum allowable no-load loss and load loss for 10 kV distribution transformers shall not be higher than those specified in Table 1 and Table 2. b) The minimum allowable no-load loss and load loss for 35 kV power transformers shall not be higher than those specified in Table 3 and Table 4.
c) The minimum allowable no-load loss and load loss for 66 kV power transformers shall not be higher than those specified in Table 5 and Table 6.
d) The minimum allowable no-load loss and load loss for 110 kV power transformers shall not be higher than those specified in Table 7 ~ Table 11.
