This standard specifies the fuel consumption limits for passenger cars. This standard applies to the type M1 vehicles of the maximum design total mass not more than 3500 kg which can use gasoline or diesel fuel. This standard does not apply to vehicles that use only gaseous fuel or alcohol ether fuels.
