Foreword
Chapter 4 and 5 of this Standard are mandatory, the rest are recommendatory.
This Standard is not equivalent to American Society for Testing and Materials Standard’s
ASTMD 910-04a Standard Specification for Aviation Gasoline.
This Standard replaces GB 1787-1979 Aviation gasoline. Comparing with GB 1787-1979,
main changes of this Standard are as follows.
— Add “Normative references” in chapter 2;
— Add test methods such as density, oxidation stability, aromatic and water reaction
indicators into Table 1;
— Change the crystallization point to freezing point;
— Change the determination of distillation range as specified in GB/T 6536. Add the
sum of 40% evaporating temperature; end point of distillation; and 10% and 50%
evaporating temperature;
— Add test methods. GB/T 11140 Petroleum products - Determination of sulfur (X-ray
spectrometry method); GB/T 17040 Petroleum products - Determination of sulfur
(Energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy method); SH/T 0253 Light
petroleum products - Determination of sulphur content (Coulometric method); SH/T
0689 Standard test method for determination of total sulfur in light hydrocarbons
motor fuels and oils (ultraviolet fluorescence method); and GB/T 8019 Motor gasoline
and aviation fuels - Determination of existent gum (Jet evaporation method);
— Add “Classification and marking” in chapter 3;
— Add “Inspection rules” in chapter 5.
This Standard is proposed by National Technical Committee (SAC/TC 280) on Petroleum
Products and Lubricants of Standardization Administration of China.
This Standard is under the jurisdiction of China Petrochemical Corporation.
The responsible drafting organizations are SINOPEC CORP. Research Institute of
Petroleum Processing and CNPC Lanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
The chief drafting staffs of this Standard include Gong Dongmei, Tao Zhiping, Zhao Liping,
