Foreword
All content of this Standard is mandatory.
This Standard replaces GB 14884-1994 “Hygienic standard for preserved fruits”.
Compared with GB 14884-1994, the main changes of this Standard are as
follows.
- Modified the text format according to GB/ T 1.1-2000;
- Modified the structure of the previous standard; added the hygienic
requirements for food additives and production process, the transportation
requirements for packaging, mark and storage;
- Modified the definition according to GB 8956;
- Revised the provisions of the total number of colonies index according to
factory classification and sales classification in the previous standard;
- The indicators of sulfur dioxide residues in the previous standard were
modified to be - implemented according to the provisions of GB 2760.
Since the implementation of this Standard, GB 14884-1994 is abolished
simultaneously.
This Standard was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of Ministry
of Health of the People's Republic of China.
The drafting organizations of this Standard. Institute of Food Safety Control and
Inspection of the Ministry of Public Health, Beijing Municipal Center for Hygiene
and Anti-Epidemic Control, Institute of Food Safety Control and Inspection of
Shandong Province, Hebei Provincial Center for Hygiene and Anti-Epidemic
Control.
Main drafters of this Standard. Zhang Ying, Yang Dajin, Wu Shuxiu, Lu Zhen,
Wang Yuejin, Zhang Zheng, Liang Jin.
This Standard replaces the following previous standard.
- GB 14884-1994.
Hygienic standard for preserved fruits
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the index requirements for preserved fruits, the
hygienic requirements for food additives and production process, the
transportation requirements for package, mark and storage as well as test
method.
This Standard is applicable to preserved fruits, preserved fruits and vegetables,
transparent preserved fruits and vegetables, liquoriced fruits, ground preserved
fruits and vegetables (cakes), and fruit cakes that use fruits, vegetables and sugar
as raw material, and are made after processed.
2 Normative references
The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this
Standard, constitute the provisions of this Standard. For dated references,
subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to
this Standard. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this
Standard are encouraged to investigate whether the latest versions of these
documents are applicable. For undated reference documents, the latest
versions apply to this Standard.

GB/T 4789.24 Microbiological examination of food hygiene - Examination
of candy, cake and preserved fruit
GB/T 5009.11 Determination of total arsenic and abio-arsenic in food
GB/T 5009.12 Determination of Pb in foods
GB/T 5009.13 Determination of steel in foods
GB/T 5009.34 Determination of sulphite in foods
GB 8956 Good manufacturing practice for candied fruit factory
6 Hygienic requirements for production process
It shall comply with the provisions of GB 8956.
7 Packaging
Packaging containers and materials shall comply with relevant hygienic
standards and provisions.
8 Mark
The marking requirements for standardized package shall comply with relevant
provisions.
9 Storage and Transport
9.1 Storage
Products shall be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place. They shall not be stored
with the goods that are poisonous, harmful, volatile, corrosive goods or with
peculiar smell.
9.2 Transport
When transporting, avoid sun and rain. Products shall not be transported with
the goods that are poisonous, harmful or with peculiar smell; or the goods that
may affect the product quality.
10 Test Method
10.1 Pb
Tested according to provisions of GB/T 5009.12.
10.2 Cu
Tested according to provisions of GB/T 5009.13.
10.3 Total arsenic
Tested according to provisions of GB/T 5009.11.
10.4 Sulfur dioxide
Tested according to provisions of GB/T 5009.34.
10.5 Total number of colonies, coliforms, pathogens, mold
Tested according to provisions of GB/T 4789.24.
