This Standard specifies definitions, classification, designation, dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, package, marking and quality certificate of cold rolled ribbed steel wires and bars. This Standard is applicable to the cold rolled ribbed steel wires and bars used for prestressed concrete and ordinary reinforced concrete; it is also applicable to the cold rolled ribbed steel wires and bars used for manufacture of welded mesh.
