1.1 This Part of NB/T 47013 specifies the magnetic flux leakage testing and result evaluation method for pressure equipment made of ferromagnetic materials, seamless steels pipe and welded pipe (excluding submerged arc welding). 1.2 This Part is applicable to the magnetic flux leakage testing for corrosion, existing mechanical damage, and other volume defects generated on the pressure equipment made of ferromagnetic materials with or without coatings, and on the internal and external surface of the element base metal; the thickness of tested workpiece is no greater than 30mm, pipe diameter is no less than 9mm. 1.3 The crack testing of pressure equipment and magnetic flux leakage testing of atmospheric pressure storage tank.
