Scope

This document specifies the testing principles, testing methods, qualifications of testing
personnel, testing equipment and device, testing implementation, comparison samples,
testing results evaluation, testing records and testing reports, etc. of the ultrasonic
testing for the surface of cold-drawn round steel.
This document is applicable to ultrasonic testing of longitudinal discontinuities on the
surface and near surface of cold drawn round steel with a diameter of 6mm~80mm.
The ultrasonic testing of other round steel processed into silver shiny surface after hot
rolling can also refer to this document.
