Scope

This standard specifies three methods for the measurement of air permeance
of paper and board. Gurley method, Schopper method, and Bendtsen method.
This standard is applicable to paper and board with air permeance between 1
× 10-2μm / (Pa • s) ~ 1 × 102μm / (Pa • s).
This standard does not apply to paper and board with a large surface
roughness which cannot be firmly clamped, such as crepe paper or corrugated
paperboard.

Summary This standard specifies the paper and cardboard permeability of the three measurement methods: Gurley method, Schopper method, the special health laws. This standard applies to air permeability in 1X10-2m/(Pa? S) ~ 1X102m/(Pa? S) between the paper and cardboard. This standard does not apply to the surface roughness is large, and can not be firmly clamped paper and paperboard, such as crepe paper or corrugated board.
