This Standard specifies the classification, designation, ordering contents, dimension, shape, weight, permissible tolerance, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, package, marking and quality certificate of hot rolled carbon steel and stainless- steel clad bars for the reinforcement of concrete. This Standard is applicable to the stainless-steel clad bars (hereinafter referred to as “steel bar”) produced by hot rolling method using stainless steel as the coating and carbon steel (or low alloy steel) as substrate.
