Scope

This Part of GB/T 2406 specifies methods for determining the minimum
concentration of oxygen, in admixture with nitrogen, that will support
combustion of test specimens under specified test conditions. The results are
defined as oxygen index values.

Summary This standard specifies the method for measuring oxygen concentration in the sample minimum required for combustion. The result is defined as oxygen index. This section applies to the specimen thickness is less than 10. 5 mm can be self-supporting vertical strip or sheet material. Also suitable for the performance of homogeneous density greater than 100 kg/m3 solid material, laminate or a foam material, and an apparent density of less than 100 kg/m3 some foam. Test Method and provide upright support of a sheet or film material. For comparison, this section also provides a method for measuring the oxygen index of a material is higher than a given value.
