Foreword
GB/T 22084 "Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-
acid electrolytes - Portable sealed rechargeable single cells" is divided into two
parts:
- Part 1: Nickel-cadmium;
- Part 2: Nickel-metal hydride.
This Part is Part 2 of GB/T 22084. This Part is identical to IEC 61951-2:2003
"Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes
- Portable sealed rechargeable single cells - Part 2: Nickel-metal hydride"
(English edition).
For ease of use, this Part has made the following editorial changes:
- CHANGE the word "this International Standard" to "this Part";
- USE a decimal point "." to replace the comma "," as a decimal point;
- Delete the foreword of the international standard;
- The introduction of normative references adopts that stipulated in GB/T 1.1;
- The subclause numbers of IEC 61951-2:2003 corresponding to 7.4.1 in
Table 18 and 7.4.2 in Table 19 of this Part are 7.4 and 7.4.4, respectively.
Judging by the contents of these two inspections, it is believed that the
provisions of IEC 61951-2:2003 are incorrect, which is corrected in this Part.
This Part replaces the national standard GB/T 15100-2003 "Secondary cells
and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes - Sealed nickel-
metal hydride rechargeable single cells".
Compared with GB/T 15100-2003, the main changes in this Part are as follows:
- ADD button cells and specify their designation (5.1.3 of this Part), model
and dimensions (6.2 of this Part), and related performance requirements
(Table 6 and Table 8 of this Part);
- Cylindrical cells are divided into four types: L, M, H, and X according to the
discharge rate. The requirements for M cells are the same as the previous
standard. ADD the requirements for the other three batteries;
- ADD two special types of cylindrical cells: T and R; specify their particular
performance requirements (7.4.1.2.3, 7.4.2.3, 7.6.2, 7.6.3, 7.9 of this Part);
Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or
other non-acid electrolytes - Portable sealed
rechargeable single cells - Part 2: Nickel-metal hydride
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 22084 specifies marking, designation, dimensions, tests and
requirements for portable sealed nickel-metal hydride, small prismatic,
cylindrical and button rechargeable single cells (abbreviated as cells), suitable
for use in any orientation.
