Scope

This Standard specifies the levels for toxic evaluation of fire effluents hazard for
materials, test equipment, and test methods.
This Standard applies to the toxicity hazard classification of flue gas from materials that
stably generate smoke. It does not apply to the toxicity hazard classification of flue gas
from materials that not stably generate smoke.
