Foreword
This Standard is one of series of standards of “the reuse of urban recycling
water”.
This Standard was proposed by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural
Development of the People's Republic of China.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Housing and
Urban-Rural Development Water Supply and Drainage Products
Standardization Technical Committee.

Water quality standard for green space irrigation
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the water quality indicators and limits, sampling and
monitoring for green space irrigation of reuse of urban recycling water.
This Standard is applicable to the recycled water used for green space
irrigation that takes the urban recycling water as water source.

5 Other provisions
5.1 Before the irrigation of urban recycling water to green space, the basic
control projects and selective control projects of the recycling water sources
shall be fully tested. Carry out the irrigation test according to local climatic
conditions, green plant species and soil conditions to confirm the selective
control items and irrigation system.
5.2 Ancient trees must not be irrigated with the recycling water. Special
flowers and newly introduced plants shall be carefully irrigated with the
recycling water.
5.3 When using the recycling water to irrigate the green space, an
emergency preparation plan shall be made. When an emergency occurs,
stop using the recycling water immediately.
6 Sampling and monitoring
6.1 Sampling requirements
6.1.1 The sampling point of the water quality is located near the discharge
port of the recycling water treatment facility to ensure that the nearest
irrigation water quality comply with the provisions of this Standard.
6.1.2 The collection and storage of water sample shall be in line with GB/T
12998 and GB/T 12999. Conduct the sampling at least once every 2h. Take
24 mixed samples, calculated in daily average. When conditions permit, the
sampling in proportion of recycling water and online monitoring shall be
gradually realized.
6.2 Monitoring frequency
When it uses the recycling water to irrigate the green space, the water quality
monitoring frequency shall not be less than the following requirements.
Basic control items. once a day for total residual chlorine, turbidity, olfactory,
pH value; once every week for fecal coliforms; once every month for other
items.
