Foreword
This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020
"Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of
standardizing documents".
This document replaces GB/T 23832-2009 "Bar code for commodity - Numbering and
symbol marking of service relationship". Compared with GB/T 23832-2009, except for
structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
- CHANGE the content of the Scope, to meet the technical conditions of China (see
Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2009 edition);
- CHANGE the definition of the global service relation number (see 3.1; 3.1 of the
2009 edition);
- ADD terms and definitions of "Service relation instance number" (see 3.2);
- ADD the relevant content of "Numbering of service relation instance" (see 4.2);
- ADD the barcode representation of QR code and URL data structure (see Chapter
5);
- ADD the application identifiers AI (8017) and AI (8019), respectively representing
the global service relationship provider and service relation instance (see Chapter
5);
- CHANGE the size and grade requirements (see 6.1; 6.1 of the 2009 edition);
- ADD the detection and quality evaluation of QR code (see 6.2).

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for numbering, barcode
representation, barcode symbols of global service relation numbers and service relation
instance numbers.
This document is applicable to the identification, automatic identification, data
collection of service-related parties and service relation instances.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions, which are defined in GB/T 12905 and GB/T
37056-2018, apply to this document.
3.1
Global service relation number; GSRN
In the commodity barcode system, the code which is used to uniquely identify the
service-related parties, in the service relationship on a global scale.

3.2
Service relation instance number; SRIN
In the commodity bar code system, the code, which is used to identify specific
service items, in a certain service relation.
4 Numbering
4.1 Numbering of global service relation
4.1.1 Code structure
The global service relation number is composed of three parts: manufacturer
identification code, service reference code, verification code. It is an 18-digit code. The
structure is as shown in Table 1. Among them, the manufacturer identification code is
composed of 7 ~ 10 digits; the service reference code is composed of 10 ~ 7 digits; the
check code is 1 digit.
4.1.2 Compilation rules
4.1.2.1 Manufacturer identification code
The rules for compiling the manufacturer identification code shall comply with the
provisions of GB 12904.
4.1.2.2 Service reference code
The service reference code is assigned by the service provider organization which has
obtained the vendor identification code; it is guaranteed to be unique.
4.1.2.3 Check code
The check code is calculated, based on the first 17 digits of the global service relation
number; the calculation method shall comply with the provisions of Appendix A.
4.2 Numbering of service relation instance
4.2.1 Code structure
The service relation instance number (SRIN) is composed of numeric characters, with
a variable length, up to 10 digits; the structure is as shown in Table 2.
4.2.2 Numbering rules
The service relation instance number is assigned by the service provider which has
obtained the vendor identification code AND is guaranteed to be unique; it shall be used
together with the global service relation number.
5 Barcode representation
When using a barcode to indicate a service relationship, it shall be used together with
the corresponding application identifier, according to the different parties involved in
the service. The application identifier shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 16986.
The one-dimensional barcode adopts GS1-128 barcode, which shall comply with the
provisions of GB/T 15425. The two-dimensional code adopts the two-dimensional code
with GS1 mode, such as QR code, data matrix code, Han Xin code, respectively in
accordance with the requirements of GB/T 18284, GB/T 41208 -2021, GB/T 21049.
URL data structure shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 33993 or GB/T 40204-
2021. The unit data strings and analytical query keywords shall comply with the
requirements of Appendix A of GB/T 40204-2021. See Table 3 for the application
identification of the global service relation. See Table 4 for the application identification

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions, which are defined in GB/T 12905 and GB/T
37056-2018, apply to this document.
3.1
Global service relation number; GSRN
In the commodity barcode system, the code which is used to uniquely identify the
service-related parties, in the service relationship on a global scale.

Service relation instance number; SRIN
In the commodity bar code system, the code, which is used to identify specific
service items, in a certain service relation.
4 Numbering
4.1 Numbering of global service relation
4.1.1 Code structure
The global service relation number is composed of three parts: manufacturer
identification code, service reference code, verification code. It is an 18-digit code. The
structure is as shown in Table 1. Among them, the manufacturer identification code is

4.2 Numbering of service relation instance
4.2.1 Code structure
The service relation instance number (SRIN) is composed of numeric characters, with
a variable length, up to 10 digits; the structure is as shown in Table 2.
4.2.2 Numbering rules
The service relation instance number is assigned by the service provider which has
obtained the vendor identification code AND is guaranteed to be unique; it shall be used
together with the global service relation number.
5 Barcode representation
When using a barcode to indicate a service relationship, it shall be used together with
the corresponding application identifier, according to the different parties involved in
the service. The application identifier shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 16986.
The one-dimensional barcode adopts GS1-128 barcode, which shall comply with the
provisions of GB/T 15425. The two-dimensional code adopts the two-dimensional code
with GS1 mode, such as QR code, data matrix code, Han Xin code, respectively in
accordance with the requirements of GB/T 18284, GB/T 41208 -2021, GB/T 21049.
URL data structure shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 33993 or GB/T 40204-
2021. The unit data strings and analytical query keywords shall comply with the
requirements of Appendix A of GB/T 40204-2021. See Table 3 for the application
