The consistent degree between this Standard and CODEX STAN 1-1985 “General
Standard for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods” (English version 2005) is not
equivalent.
This Standard was proposed by China National Institute of Standardization.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of China National Institute of
Standardization.
The main drafting organizations of this Standard. International Inspection and
Quarantine Standard and Technical Regulations Research Center of General
Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the
People's Republic of China; Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau; Beijing
Anpu Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the allergenic ingredients in prepackaged foods.
This Standard applies to the manufacturing, processing and sale of prepackaged foods.

The provisions in following document becomes the provisions of this Standard through
reference in this Standard. For dated reference, the subsequent amendments
(excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard, however, parties
who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest
versions of these documents are applicable. For undated reference, the latest edition
of the referenced document applies.

3 Terms and definitions
Those established in GB7718 AND the following terms and definitions apply to this
Standard.
3.1
Allergen
The antigenic substances that can induce allergic reactions in the body.
3.2
Food allergen
The natural or artificial added substances that are normally existed in ordinary foods;
it can induce allergic reactions after it is consumed by allergic people.
