1 Scope
This Standard specifies the general principles, technical requirements, inspection,
detection and test requirements, accompanying documents, signs, packaging,
transportation and storage of wonder wheel category of amusement rides.
This Standard is applicable to wonder wheel category of amusement rides.

3.4 Top Spin Type
Top spin type refers to the wonder wheel category of amusement rides, where the inner
side of the supporting frame in the vertical plane is equipped with supporting shafts
(half shafts or through shafts), and the supporting shafts are respectively equipped
with a rotary arm, and one end of the rotary arm is connected with the cockpit; the
cockpit can rotate in the forward and backward directions with the rotary arm, and
simultaneously, it can freely swing; when the rotary arm is equipped with a swing joint,
the two arms can asynchronously rotate, and the cockpit will move up and down along
with it.

3.5 Time and Space Shuttle Type
Time and space shuttle type refers to the wonder wheel category of amusement rides,
where the upper end of the vertical column is equipped with a supporting shaft, and
the supporting shaft is equipped with a rotary arm; one end of the rotary arm is
connected with the cockpit; the rotary arm can rotate forward and backward; the
cockpit is fixed with the rotary arm, or can swing left and right.

3.6 Flying Carpet Type
Flying carpet type refers to the wonder wheel category of amusement rides, where the
cockpit is connected with one end of the rotary arm, makes translational movement
around the supporting shaft with the rotary arm, and can rotate in the forward and
backward directions.
NOTE: the rotary arm is generally two-arm or four-arm, and the corresponding supporting
column is two-column or four-column (see Figure A.6).
3.7 Pendulum Loop Type
Pendulum loop type refers to the wonder wheel category of amusement rides, where
the upper end of the vertical column is equipped with a supporting shaft, and the two
ends of the supporting shaft stretch out and are respectively equipped with a rotary
arm; one end of the rotary arm is the cockpit; the cockpit drives the rotary arm to rotate
along a fixed ring-shaped inner slide, and can rotate in the forward and backward
directions; the cockpit is fixed with the rotary arm, or can rotate around it.

3.8 Other Type
Other type refers to the wonder wheel category of amusement rides, where the
passenger-taking part rotates or swings around the horizontal axis, and has a similar
and the foundation should be equipped with a structure that resists transverse shear
or corresponding measures.
5.2.3 When calculating the limit wind for the structure of the wonder wheel category of
amusement rides, at least take the wind load of the permitted place of use that emerges
once in 50 years; the wind direction shall consider the two directions of the vertical
wheel surface and the parallel wheel surface. For seaside and typhoon areas, the wind
load that emerges once in 100 years should be taken.
5.2.4 When the height of Type-A and Type-B wonder wheel category is not less than
40 m, the calculation of the live load of the whole mechanism component shall consider
the ice-wrapping load in accordance with the design and operating environment. In the
operation and maintenance instructions of Type-A and Type-B wonder wheel category,
the maximum allowable wind speed and ground roughness shall be clearly stated.
5.2.5 When the height of Type-A and Type-B wonder wheel category is not less than
40 m, installation verification shall be carried out.
5.2.6 The parallel misalignment between the actual shaft axis of the main supporting
shaft and its theoretical shaft axis shall be not greater than 1/1,500 of the design value
of the distance between the two supporting centers.
5.2.7 When Type-A wonder wheel category is supported by a vertical column structure,
the deviation of perpendicularity between the center line of the vertical column and the
horizontal plane shall be not greater than 1/1,000 of the design value.
5.2.8 The deviation between the bearing of the wheel supporting shaft or the slewing
supporting center on the two vertical columns of Type-A wonder wheel category and
its design value shall be not greater than 1/1,000.
