Graphical signs - Electric vehicle charging and battery
swapping infrastructure signs
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements for electric-vehicles’ charging and battery-
swapping infrastructure symbols and signs, as well as their setting requirements.
This Standard is applicable to electric-vehicle’s charging/battery-swapping station,
battery replacement station, parking lots with electric-vehicles’ charging/battery-
swapping infrastructure, transport depot, nearby roads and other public places.
Specifically, it is applicable to the design of location signs, guidance signs, the
information edition, the schematic diagram and other orientation elements in public
information orientation system.
2 Normative references

S/N Graphical Symbol Meaning Explanation
Charging/Battery-
swap Infrastructure
It refers to places to provide charging services for
electric-vehicles, such as. charging/battery-swapping
stations, charging stations, or battery-replacement
stations. It can also denote functionality for
charging/battery-swapping on the road.
It is used in charging/battery-swapping stations,
charging stations, or battery-replacement stations, etc.
2 DC Charging
It refers to places or facilities to provide DC charging
services for electric-vehicles, such as. DC charging
stations, DC charging areas, DC charging piles, etc. It
can also denote functionality for DC charging.
Generally it is not for road usage.
3 AC Charging
It refers to places or facilities to provide AC charging
services for electric-vehicles, such as. AC charging
stations, AC charging areas, AC charging piles, etc. It
can also denote functionality for AC charging.
Generally it is not for road usage.
4 Battery-swapping
It refers to places to provide battery-swapping services
for electric-vehicles, such as. battery-swapping
stations, or battery-swapping areas. It can also denote
functionality for battery-swapping.
Generally it is not for road usage.
4 Electric-vehicle charging/battery-swapping facility signs
4.1 Sign color and format
4.1.1 General requirements
4.1.1.1 The color and format of the signs for electric-vehicles’ charging/battery-
swapping facilities shall be in accordance with the color and size of the facilities, and
environmental characteristics of the site.
4.1.1.2 The format of the sign shall be selected from Figure 1 ~ 6. The color shall be
those from Figure 1 ~6. Among which the color code for blue shall be CMYK. C100
M52 Y0 K0, PANTONE. 2935PC; and that for black shall be C0 M0 Y0 K100,
PANTONE. Pro.BlackPC. The color of the graphic symbols and text shall be in
enough contrast with the background color of base-material. The base-material’s
background color of the sign shall not be the safety color - red or yellow as specified
in GB/T 2893.1.
Note1. The CMYK color mode is a printing mode. The four letters refer to Cyan, Magenta, Yellow,
Black, representing four colors of printing ink.
Note 2. PANTONE color matching system, is a universal international standard language of color.
Note 3. The base-material’s background color usually refers to the natural color of the sign plates,
such as copper plates, stainless steel plates, acrylic plates. When the sign is sprayed on the
charging pile or other objects, the base-material’s background color refers to the natural color of
charging pile or other objects
4.1.1.3 The graphic sign for “Charging/Battery-swapping Infrastructure” in Table 1
Number 1 can be an independent mark without the text. But the color shall be
