Foreword
This Standard was formulated for the first time.
This Standard identically adopts ISO 5579.1998 "Non-destructive testing -
Radiographic examination of metallic materials by X- and gamma-rays - Basic
rules" (English version).
This Standard is an identical translation version to ISO 5579.1998.
For easy use, this Standard made the following editorial modifications.
a) modified "this International Standard" as "this Standard";
b) replaced "," that was used as decimal point in ISO 5579.1998 with decimal

d) used the introduction specified in GB/T 1.1-2000.
This Standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Non-destructive testing of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC
56).
The drafting organization of this Standard. Shanghai Materials Research
Institute.

Non-destructive testing - Radiographic examination of
metallic materials by X-and gamma-rays - Basic rules
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the basic rules for industrial X- and gamma radiography
for flaw detection purposes, using film techniques, applicable to metallic
products and materials.
2 Normative references
