Foreword
GB/T 12467 "Metal material fusion welding quality requirements" is divided into five parts.
--- Part 1. Selection criteria for the corresponding level of quality requirements;
--- Part 2. Complete quality requirements;
--- Part 3. General quality requirements;
--- Part 4. Basic quality requirements;
--- Part 5. Standard guidelines for meeting quality requirements.
This part is the first part of GB/T 12467.
This part is equivalent to ISO 3834-1.2005 "Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials - Part 1. Selection of corresponding grades of quality requirements

This section is equivalent to translation ISO 3834-1.2005.
For ease of use, this section has made the following editorial changes.
--- Removed the preface to international standards;
--- Replace the ISO standard referenced in ISO 3834-1.2005 "normative reference documents" with equivalent Chinese standards.
This part replaces GB/T 12467.1-1998 "Welding quality requirements - Fusion welding of metallic materials - Part 1. Selection and use
guide".
The main changes in this section compared with GB/T 12467.1-1998 are as follows.
---Retained the "Selection Guide" section of the quality level, and removed the "Application Guide" section of the original standard;
--- Added "Overall overview of GB/T 12467 standard";
--- Cancel the selection form and flow chart of welding quality requirements.
Appendix A of this section is an informative annex.

This part of GB/T 12467 specifies the criteria to be considered when selecting the quality level of fusion welding of metal materials.
This section applies to welding manufacturing in the workshop and on site.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions established by GB/T 19000 apply to this section.

Product requirements as specified by the user (or user organization, or by rules). Design technical conditions may also include relevant requirements such as.

Overall overview of 4 GB/T 12467
GB/T 12467 specifies the quality requirements for fusion welding of metal materials. These quality requirements contained in this section may also apply to other
Welding method. These quality requirements relate only to those aspects of product quality that are affected by fusion welding and are not limited by product type.
GB/T 12467 provides a means for manufacturers to demonstrate their ability to manufacture specific quality products.
The development of standards is based on the following considerations.
a) the standard is not limited by the type of manufacturing structure;
b) the standard specifies the quality requirements for the workshop and or on-site welding;
c) standards provide guidance for describing the ability of manufacturers to produce structures that meet specified requirements;
d) The standard provides the basis for evaluating the manufacturer's welding capabilities.
Manufacturers are required to demonstrate their ability to produce welded structures and to meet certain quality requirements in one or more of the following documents

Manufacturers may fully adopt the requirements contained in this section and may also selectively screen when the structure involved is not suitable.

--- The first case. special requirements for manufacturers that meet the GB/T 19001 quality management system specifications;
--- The second case. special requirements for manufacturers that meet the different quality management system specifications than GB/T 19001;
--- The third case. provide a special guide for manufacturers to develop a quality management system for fusion welding;
--- Fourth case. Provide detailed requirements for those specifications, rules or product standards that have control requirements for fusion welding activities.
5 Quality requirements corresponding level selection
The corresponding part of GB/T 12467 should be selected according to product standards, specifications, rules or contracts for the quality requirements.
GB/T 12467 is applicable to different situations and occasions. This chapter does not specify the specific rules for the quality requirements used under each condition.

GB/T 12467 can be used in different situations. The manufacturer shall have quality at three different levels based on the following product-related content.
